Points of Light

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16,NLT)

Vision

We are commanded by Jesus to let our lights shine before the people of the world so that His Father in heaven would be glorified.
We do that by strengthening ourselves in the Word so that we may encourage and serve others. In this way we will grow together as we grow the Kingdom of Heaven.
We must be strong in our relationships with each other so that we may be strong in our relationship with God.
We must be well fed by His Word so that we can subdue the temptations of the world.
We must lead others to a fulfilling life in Christ by:

1) Telling unbelievers the good news
2) Training new believers in the way of Christ.
3) Helping each other stay on the path.

The women of First Baptist Church, Klamath Falls, have been letting their light shine for over one hundred years. May He lay it upon our hearts to keep the light on until His faithful return.
