My Prayer for Women

Let us women not create division.
Let us refrain from all gossip.
Let us learn to forgive one another.
Let us forget old hurts and renew our relationships.
Let us remember to live the greatest commandment.
Let us reach out to those around us.
Let us live Christian lives
fully devoted to following Christ Jesus
Amen

Today’s Christian woman faces many challenges to her faith that were not there 50 years ago. What is a Christian woman, and where does she belong in the 21st century world? She’s a mother, daughter, wife, sister, servant. She’s a doctor, a lawyer, an artist, a basketball star. We are bombarded daily with messages telling us who we are. Some of us are single, some of us are married. Some of us are just starting out on our journey, and some of us are nearing the end. I don’t have the answers anymore than the rest of us but when I am lost or confused I look to God’s Word and our older sisters for wisdom and guidance. We can learn much together as women. Together we can discuss and gain insight from the Bible. Sometimes we just need to come together to refresh the spirit. Let’s find out together who we are and what it means to be strong Christian women.
